“Girls Who Code Talks” is a virtual video series intended to protect the pipeline of female engineers during the COVID-19 crisis. In this video; Girls Who Code CMO Deborah Singer talks with Courtney Connley report at CNBC Make It and Clare Duffy Associate writer at CNN Business as they discuss career pathing during the Covid-19 pandemic. Connely is a reporter focusing on topics geared towards educating a younger audience about work, finance, and entrepreneurship with a focus on women, wage disparity, and diversity in the workplace. Duffy is a writer covering the business of technology and the strategies of big tech companies. Girls Who Code is an international nonprofit organization working to close the gender gap in technology, and leading the movement to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the computing skills needed to pursue 21st-century opportunities. Since launching in 2012, Girls Who Code has reached 500 million people through its work and 300,000 girls through its in-person programming. College-aged alumni of Girls Who Code are declaring majors in computer science and related fields at 15 times the U.S. average.
