Great warriors and navigators, mercenaries esteemed and respected by the Egyptian Pharaohs who often wanted them as personal guard (See Ramses II), the Shardana were the leaders of the Sea Peoples who dominated the Mediterranean and the setting of the Bronze Age, around 1200 ac, they upset the political geography annihilating even the great empires of the time - the Hittite, the Mycenaean and the Egyptian - and paving the way for a new era.
