Okinawa Okhi 90 200 KM Vs Simple One 300 KM | Best Electric Scooters in India 2022 Coming to the specifications, the Okhi-90 electric scooter is powered by a 3.8kW motor and the company says it can hit a stop speed of 90kph in Sport mode. In Eco mode, that figure drops to 60kph. The company also claims the scooter can accelerate from 0-90kph in 10sec. Powering the motor is a removable 3.6kWh, lithium-ion battery which offers a claimed range of 160km. This is much higher than the claimed range of the Ather 450X, TVS iQube and also the Bajaj Chetak. As far as styling is concerned, the Okhi-90 has a pretty conventional design, but what grabs your attention are the 16-inch alloy wheels. These are possibly the biggest wheels we’ve seen on a scooter currently on the market. Okinawa claims that these big wheels will help the scooter tackle typically bumpy Indian roads. The other talking point is the model’s massive 40-litre boot space. The Okinawa Okhi-90 is priced at Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom, post FAME-II subsidies). The price falls further after state subsidies are added – for example, the Okhi-90 is priced at Rs 1.03 lakh in Delhi and Maharashtra. In terms of features, the scooter gets in-built navigation, digital speedometer, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless start, USB port for mobile charging, and call and notification alerts. Customers can also download the Okinawa Connect app that also allows them to immobilize the scooter in case of theft. Simple One Electric Scooter : The additional 1.6 kWh battery pack from the company will be able to extend the range of Simple One from 235 km to 300 plus km in a full charge. This extension in range will help buyers with range anxiety as it will enable them to cover longer distances during the time of travelling. Additionally, the new more powerful motor will offer better performance, thermal management and efficiency while producing 8.5 kWh of power with 72 Nm. The new motor will also provide a 96 efficiency during its run at peak power. Simple One with its single battery pack has a real-world range of 203 km (up to 236 km in ideal conditions), while the newly announced optional battery pack bumps this range to 300+ km in a single charge. As for the pricing the single battery e-scooter costs Rs 1.8 lakh ex-showroom, while the larger battery pack model will cost Rs 1.45 lakh ex-showroom. The EV scooter from the Bengaluru based startup sports a futuristic design language and comes equipped with a host of features. These include fast charging support, a 30-litre boot, a touchscreen instrument cluster with onboard navigation and Bluetooth and 4G connectivity, front and rear LED lighting and a tyre pressure monitoring system. It also gets 12-inch wheels and an option of four colours – Brazen Black, Namma Red, Grace White and Azure Blue. While the battery is said to support fast charging, the company hasn’t released any information about the time taken to charge the battery.
