After OFAC banned Tornado Cash and USDC followed through with the sanctions, I started looking for an alternative stablecoin to use instead of USDC, because if it can ban Tornado Cash users, what other users might it decide to ban in the future? For that matter Tether became a better alternative as it didn't ban anyone, though I see other problems with Tether. Anyways, I stumbled upon Frax stablecoin and no, sadly it isn't a good alternative to USDC, because it is mostly backed by USDC, but the whole mechanism of how Frax works is rather interesting and the ecosystem that is being built is something worth learning about and that's what this video is about.
