My First Time Trying ✧ Oil Pastels ✧

✿ H e l l o! ✿ I haven't touched oil pastels since I was in High School - and I hated them then! But about 5 months ago I lost control and purchased a set of LOVELY Sennelier Oil Pastels. I've been sitting with them since then. But I finally decided to break the fear of using them and just go for it!! I painted a base layer in the hot pink/orange because that I what I tend to do when I make paintings - so I kind of approached this oil pastel the same way I do my paintings. I had A LOT of fun and I can't wait to make more drawings! (Who here know the best way to seal/finish an oil pastel piece?? Help!) The reference I used was from one of my own photographs which I took in 2017 in Glencoe, Scotland. There is a vlog up on Patreon now with a lot more details about how I planned and my thoughts on the piece and process if you're interested to learn some more. ALSO!
