It was easy to stroll around the glacier via the boardwalks, you can also take the ferry up close to the walls of the glacier, but that comes at an extra cost. You can book via several tour companies in and around El Calafate town. The Perito Moreno Glacier is an iconic site in Patagonia Argentina included in the Los Glaciares National Park, declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981.
