Solving Pathogen Puzzles, Pod Shatter & Fusarium Damage

We'll be joined by the three young scientists doing groundbreaking research in three important areas: fusarium damage detection in seed, pod shatter in canola and sequencing the genome of sclerotinia. These three scientists are also the winners of the 2023 Canadian Plant Breeding Innovation Scholarships. These scholarships go to deserving young plant scientists who represent the future of the discipline. This year’s winners are Laura Esquivel Garcia, McGill University; Rajbir Kaur, University of Manitoba; and Sheila Maria Pereira de Andrade, University of Saskatchewan. These scholarships are made possible through a slate of great sponsors.
