Conventional assembly analysis requires components to be physically positioned with fixtures, and oftentimes, key relationships among the parts can't be measured or inspected. Virtual Assembly uses 3D scan data to evaluate the relationships among parts in an assembly. You can accurately compare any produced part from production with the CAD model, or other real parts. It's a great tool to use when your shops or suppliers are in several different locations, and you want to avoid the cost and delay of having to ship each part for inspection. High-resolution 3D meshes from two or more individual parts in an assembly are brought together and aligned in GOM Software for analysis and reporting. By assembling the digitized parts in the virtual space, you can reliably analyze mating surfaces and relationships between the components.
