In this video, we shall look at operating a Teleco satellite television system. The main switch for the television is located at the rear of the set. Turn it on. Then use the remote control to turn on the screen. Now the satellite antenna must be activated. To do this, press the SAT button on the control panel. The antenna starts to go up and search for the satellite. You have to make sure beforehand that there are no obstacles such as trees or houses in the field of view. It is also necessary that the antenna is free of snow and that the rotation of the dish is not blocked. If anything blocks the rotation of the satellite dish, serious damage to the equipment could occur. You will hear a faint noise from the antenna during the search process. As soon as this stops, the picture usually appears on the TV. If you press the SAT button again, the "OK" shows you that the satellite reception is established and which satellite has been connected. To retract the Teleco SAT system, press the Park button. The antenna goes down again. In the meantime, you have time to lock the TV, which may have been swung out, and secure it for the journey. Try to remember to retract the SAT system before starting your journey, but if you forget there is a fail safe mechanism which will automatically lower the device when the engine is started. Bear in mind that if you start the engine for any reason whilst stationery, then the satellite will retract automatically too! If there are any problems with reception, then you may have to change where you are parked. Trees, buildings and all sorts of other large objects can effect the image on your screen! The electricity supply either from electric hook up or from the on-board battery must always be sufficient for the satellite to work! It is also important that the cable drum is unwound so that no induction voltage occurs. This could cause interference. If there are any problems, the first thing to do is to pull the C.E.E. plug out of the vehicle or reset the control unit by turning it off then on again. Unplug the unit for 20 seconds. The electroblock is often located under the driver or passenger seat or the wall structure next to the passenger seat in an integrated motorhome. If the unit is in neither of these locations, you will need to consult the vehicle's operating instructions. In the self-help tool of this app you will find further help and troubleshooting tips relating to satellite television systems. I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it.
