Geekhack: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=... Available now on Taobao, with International Release set to be sometime after Lunar New Year. Cost is 140 CNY for 70 domes, which is about $20 USD. Thank you Charles for sending me these! If you know BKE you know that the original domes are extremely hard to come by and expensive, and even past projects to replicate them have fizzled out (rip Keyclack and the BKE Redux domes; now also tough to find and costly). Enter MetaKeebs. The Blue Series/BS domes are carefully designed to mimic the feel of the original Topre BKE domes. While I have not tried those before, I have tried most other domes released since then. I am very impressed with these, and the price is very competitive too. The 75g weight might just be my favourite. To me, this is overall less tiring to type on than regular 55g Topre. After the bump, the dome snaps right down to the bottom and comes snapping back after you release a bit of weight from the press. 65g is perfect for a full day of work/typing. Not too loud when silenced, I was able to use this in the office with no issues feeling like I was making too much noise. It has almost the same tactility of the 75g version, and feels excellent to bottom out. The lighter weights are a very nice surprise addition, too. I believe they are the closest to the BKE feel while being lighter than BKE. By this, I mean that Deskeys V1, Carrot, and T1 domes are all different bump shapes from BKE. The V1 might be the closest, but is still not the same in terms of key feel. T1 is too harsh of a tactility with a weak bottom-out feel, and Carrots are also closed-top like the T1s. 50g feels very light for me, even compared to stock 45g Topre. I still like this with my hover typing, which uses my arms to press harder on the keys without tiring my fingers. It is sort of like proper piano technique. This way I am able to enjoy heavier Topre domes without any wrist/hand issues. 40g for my typing is almost too light. If I rest my fingers on the home row and type with "proper form," only pressing down on the keys using my fingers, I am still able to enjoy a nice tactile bump feel. But if I press the keys too hard, it feels like there is almost nothing there and I can more easily mistype. These are the quietest, and I did have fun using these with my laptop! At the price, these are a no-brainer purchase for someone looking to try BKE tactility in their EC/Topre builds!
