Part Two of the Scholars’ Series: “Finding Hope in a World in Peril” features American scholar Dr. Merj Hemp in collaboration with two exceptionally courageous academics from Türkiye, Dr. Bayram Erzurumluoğlu and Dr. Fatma Zehra Fidan. Together, they continue to inform the global community—through rigorous scientific research about the victimization and ongoing persecution of innocent people in Türkiye. In this episode, Dr. Bayram reiterates that their research aims to enlighten people “with conscience” about the realities unfolding in Türkiye. Drawing from their data, he explains that while the government has accused victims of failing to adhere to the constitution and the law, the study shows with 99.9% certainty that it was in fact the government that failed to uphold the law. Dr. Fatma Zehra Fidan expresses her agreement, describing the situation of KHK victims as a struggle between good and evil. Yet despite immense pain and suffering, she emphasizes that the participants remain strong because they are innocent. Their hearts are steadfast, their minds are clear, and even without the tools to defend themselves, they remain confident in their truth. It is precisely this moral clarity, she suggests, that the brutal regime could not destroy. Dr. Merj Hemp conveys her deep respect and admiration for these two scholars, as well as her solidarity with the victims. Through the Global Dialogue for Justice, she remains committed to advocating for innocent victims of persecution. This innovative scholarly platform creates space for difficult but necessary conversations amplifying the voices of those who have suffered injustice. Here, audiences hear victims’ stories in their own words, see their pain, feel their struggles, and witness their extraordinary resilience in the pursuit of justice. The Global Dialogue For Justice is an extension of Dr. Hemp’s dissertation from New Mexico State University, USA. These three courageous scholars represent a rare and powerful force in a world that urgently needs strong voices and courageous hearts. Music provided by: Slipstream Music https://slipstreammusic.com
