How to install windows 11 on an unsupported pc? Watch how I Install Windows 11 on an unsupported PC, my old 2008 Dell Studio 540 with a Legacy BiOS. I show you step by step how I bypassed the checks for the CPU, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements that keep Windows Update from installing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware. There are different ways to do this, even Microsoft provides instructions on how to bypass the checks in the registry while warning you to do it at your own risk. However, the way I show you in this video seems to be the easiest solution if you want a clean install in that you don’t have to change anything manually in the registry plus it appears to be the best way to install on an old computer with a Legacy BiOS without Secure Boot. While the Windows Installation worked flawless for me, keep 2 things in mind if you decide to try this yourself: 1. Back up your files. Because you will be booting from a USB drive, you will be doing a Windows 11 clean install. 2. Microsoft does not recommend installing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware. Therefore, you would be doing this at your own risk and I would not recommend doing this on your primary computer at this time as Windows 10 will continue to be supported through at least October 2025. While my install was flawless, I used a computer that was not my primary computer.
