Anglers fishing for our inland fish such as minnow and bream, have virtually unlimited possibilities in the Netherlands. There is a wide variety of waters to choose from and there you can test all kinds of fishing techniques. In smaller bodies of water, a simple rod will suffice. For larger bodies of water you best bring your feeder rod and method feeders. You may catch bream of over 4 kilos, large tenches, minnows, rudds, ides and many more! There is plenty of fish swimming in our canals and lakes. Often you can park right next to the water’s edge. Moreover there are many camping spots situated near the water. Simply set up your camping chair and go ahead! For those of us who are more adventurous anglers, spectacle is awaiting at the large rivers in the Netherlands. There you may catch ides with a floating piece of bread. You’ll be in for a spectacle! Or venture into the classical Dutch polder with your fly fishing rod. Rudds of over 40 cm long are no exception here. The Netherlands is dotted with angling shops. You’ll never have to go far to get whatever you need, such as fresh maggots or worms.
