Touring Denmark on a classic Vespa

August 2025 we started out 4 classic scooters from Copenhagen with the plan to tour around Denmark for three full days. The weather was fantastic and scenery, nature and all along the route was beautiful. This little film starts of about 170km south of Copenhagen (the first part is more or less the same at the beginning of my Normandy/Italy videos). The trip take us through Langeland, Fyn (Sydfyn), Falster and the southern part for Denmark (Sønderjylland), Rømø, Ribe and back home through Vejle, Aarhus and Sjællands Odde. We had a great ride, but out of the four scooters only one returned by itself. This video is about the ride and the scenery - but I know you are going to ask so.... A little after the ferry, in heavy close traffic, a van stopped too fast for the red Veloce to stop in time. The scooter was not able to continue and the drive got a few bruises. He was able to get a ride home on the back of Goldwing - and he managed to join the group later the same evening - on his own Goldwing. In the morning on the third day, the Lambretta died shortly after starting it up, and we where unable to get it started again. The driver took the backseat on the motorcycle and they headed directly home. The two remaining Vespa's moved on. With a little more than an hour to go, my Vespa died. It had a metallic rattle on the trip, but I ignored it, thinking it was a screw missing on the engine cowling or something like that. It turned out a bearing was broken in the engine and it ended up doing way to much damage. I could have been a result of damage from problems on the Normandy trip.
