On July 9 at Le Castellet, the GMR‑001 Hypercar came to life for the first time. Genesis Magma Racing has completed the first fire-up of its 2026 FIA WEC contender, marking a significant step in the car's development, which will begin testing later this year. Built in collaboration with Oreca, the car features a twin-turbo V8 developed by Hyundai Motorsport and a fully integrated hybrid system. With systems checked and milestones met, the next phase begins.
