This is a step by step how-to that shows the disassembly of the front of the 3.0 V6 engine in a Ford Ranger and Mazda B3000 in order to replace the heater fitting on front of the intake. Assembly is in reverse order. It will highlight a temporary fix to get you back on the road and an alternative permanent repair if you are unable to obtain a replacement part. Also detailed is the ☠ defective part from Dorman products ☠ intended to be a replacement for the factory heater fitting. The Dorman part is machined incorrectly with a standard threaded port that is suppose to be tapered with pipe threads. BIG FAIL DORMAN!! ☠☠☠ You guys had ONE job!
