Please Note: Due To A Security Guard At The First Floor, I Have To Do A Short Ride Trip Of The Elevator and I Also Only Started Recording From The Second Floor Because I Really Think That That Area Is Much More Safer. Date Filmed: 21 January 2026 As Choa Chu Kang MRT Station Is Getting Bigger and Expansion Ever Due To The Opening Of The New Jurong Region Line In 2027 As Part Of The Phase One, The Brand New Escalators and New Elevators Were Installed To Increase The Capacity. Choa Chu Kang MRT Station Was Opened As Part Of The Branch Line Former And Then It Was Being Converted Into The North South Line. In 1999, The Bukit Panjang LRT Opened To The Public Which Runs From Choa Chu Kang And Back Fourth Again Due To The Loop Service Which Includes Of Service A and B. In 2023, JRL Line Started Construction And It Is Going To Be Fully Elevated Which Would Be The First Fully Elevated MRT Line Ever Being Use In Singapore and Also Would Be Using The Third Rail To Support The Power Rails. As Mentioned, New Elevators and Escalators Were Needed To Increase The Capacity As This Station Gets More Bigger and Bigger. The New Elevators and Escalators Have Started Operating Since 15 January 2026 But I didn't have time to Take It Since I Have To Go Home At That Time When The Time Was So Late Because I Ended My CCA Stuff at 1730 Hours. The New Elevators are Using KONE Elevators Which I really Like It Which Is Named As Lift 2 Since Lift 1 Is Using Toshiba. The Buttons are Similar To The TEL4 Ones Since The Announcement Would Always Play The Show Your Care Ones. The Indicator, Cab Design, LED Lighting and LCD Screens Inside Also Seems Similar To The Tanah Merah MRT Station and Also It Might Be Used For The CCL6 Extension When It Opens On The Middle Of 2026. The Lift Annoucement For The Lift Style Would Always Play Concourse Level When The Elevator Reaches Floor Level 1 and Platform Announcement Would Be Say Too When The Lift Touches The Second Floor For The Choa Chu Kang MRT Station Which I Filmed The Elevator At The First Footage. After That, I Film The Escalators At The Choa Chu Kang MRT Station Which Seems Like They Are Using OTIS Escalators Instead Of KONE Escalators Because I am Not Sure Why But The Escalators Design Seems Similar To The TEL1 to TEL3 MRT Station Ones and The Speed Doesn't Go Quite Fast So I decided to only film the Escalators Leading Between The Middle Floor [Underpass Floor] To The Platform Ones Since That Is The Latest Sector Being Opened As This Place Is Only Almost One Week Old! Overall, The Escalators Here Were Amazing and I rate the Ride 100/100.
