In today’s video I’ll turn a weed pot which is a quick and easy beginners project for woodturners. It’s a low-priced item that sells well at craft markets. Often these are made from any free branches that you can find online or laying around on the curb in your neighborhood so material costs can be kept low. I think this is a piece of Sycamore which was cut down by the power company because it was too close to the power lines. I’ll begin woodturning between centers, shape the outside with a bowl gouge and mount with a tenon to drill out the inside.
