UK river fishing with lures for pike and other species this time on the river Thames. It was just a quick lure river fishing session after work where we tried to catch a Zander, pike or perch on this beautiful river. The fishing started well, catching a nice river perch and a few small pike, but the biggest surprise was when my lure was hit by a massive Thames river wild trout, who put in a really good fight and tested my rod strength. Quick photo and back he went! This lure fishing session ended with a few good fish on the bank and with Tibi losing a nice pike just before sunset. No Zander this time but the quest for a big Zander with lures on the river continues!
