In August 2024, IHS Academic staff Charmae Pyl Wissink-Nercua, Carolina Lunetta, Julia Skinner and Laura Quadros Aniche organized and implemented a 3-week tailormade training on Raising the impact of circular economy and nature-based strategies for climate resilience and equitable provision of public utilities in Colombia. This blended training design (online + face to face) was given to around 35 staff of the Superintendence of Public Utilities (SSPD) in Colombia. SSPD is a national technical agency mandated to execute inspection, supervision and control of entities and companies providing public utilities in the country. The training contributed to building the skills and technical know-how of SSPD staff in utilizing and implementing circular economy, nature-based solutions/ ecosystem-based approaches, and gender mainstreaming. This training is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Orange Knowledge Programme
