AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD IN CHINA | What I Eat in a Day

Authentic Chinese food in China - What I eat in a day in rural Qinghai. Here is a little video that i shot a while ago (I think the end of January!), but never got around to edit. I love the food here, so I still thought I'd show you. The differences between food from different areas, ethnicities and provinces in China varies widely, and here you can see some typical western Chinese food (from Qinghai). Although we also have influences from other parts of China - rice is definitely not possible to grow here, so that comes from elsewhere. Dumplings can also be found all over China (and the rest of the world, since dumplings are so delicious). Since I'm a vegetarian, all the food in this video is too (lacto-ovo vegetarian). For breakfast we had fried rice, left over from the night before, with some tofu and vegetables. Lunch is a dish that I think it typical for Qinghai - "liangpi". Liangpi is made out of wheat flour, potato flower and water, then fried like a pancake. We ate this with Chinese chives and some veggies. For dinner we made dumplings - also with Chinese chives and eggs.
