'Unlocking Community Energy at Scale' ESNZ Committee: Power for People Highlights

On 2nd April 2025, Steve Shaw, Power for People’s Director, gave oral evidence to the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee as a part of their inquiry, ‘Unlocking Community Energy at Scale’. The Committee reviews the activity of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. This evidence session discussed the market and regulatory reforms needed to ensure that community-owned renewable energy projects can sell their electricity to local customers, and receive a fair price for their electricity.
