His approach combines an advanced application of the tumescent technique with a meticulous focus on operating within the “safe plane”—a surgical zone that minimizes risk while maximizing precision. This method is especially effective in addressing the dense, fibrotic fat tissue associated with lipedema. Dr. Amron emphasized that, with lipedema, too often the focus is on fat rather than fibrosis. He suggests that targeting fibrosis can significantly improve tissue decongestion, giving the tissue “a new start.” The discussion also explored key questions: Does fibrosis drive fat cell growth?
