Jaguar Land Rover has begun assembling the Range Rover Evoque at a new factory in Tamil Nadu, marking a strategic shift to tap India’s growing luxury car demand. Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated the Tata Motors–JLR manufacturing facility at Panapakkam, which will serve as a premium vehicle hub. With an annual capacity of 250,000 vehicles, the plant is expected to gradually absorb JLR assembly from Pune.
