Today’s cards were inspired by the February 2026 Sheetload of Cards. I’m still building up my stash of birthday cards, so this sketch was the perfect excuse to make a few more. I used the Floral Charm patterned paper for the background, which added just the right amount of interest without overpowering the design. Instead of using a circle for the sentiment, I stamped the “happy birthday” greeting from the Fabulous Sayings stamp set directly onto the cardstock. Tearing paper isn’t the easiest technique for me, and I usually rely on a tearing edge to help keep things neat. This time, the section I needed to tear was too small to use a guide, so I went for it freehand. My fingers were definitely feeling it after tearing the cardstock, but the vellum was a breeze and tore so easily in comparison. blog post: https://jpollockdesigns.wordpress.com...
