We wrap up our multi-video look at several scientific tests that claim to show the cloth is ancient, old enough to be Jesus’ burial shroud. We conclude that each one is inconclusive often for the same reasons. The main obstacle is lack of undisputed Shroud material to test and limited material of known age and storage conditions to test against. But these same weaknesses affect those who seek to prove the cloth can’t be older than medieval. The infamous 1988 C14 tests are likewise inconclusive as we’ve presented in earlier videos. Nevertheless, several simple observations and deductions give rise to our position that the Shroud is at least 1,500 years old. These arguments also show that no reliable evidence exists to rule out a first century date.
