Dr. Kupferman knew he wanted to be a dentist when he was young – his uncle was a dentist, and he inspired Dr. Kupferman to go into the field. After finishing his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University in Manhattan, he earned his Dental Degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He was always interested in the surgical aspect of dentistry, so he went on to the UCLA School of Medicine to earn his Medical Degree and gain additional surgical experience. While at UCLS, Dr. Kupferman also finished a general surgery internship, a three-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program, and his ABOMS board certification. This specialized training gave him the skills necessary to treat a wide variety of oral and facial conditions. Dr. Walline decided to pursue dentistry while he was in college. His father is a dentist and he had the opportunity to see him helping patients firsthand growing up. After finishing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Walline earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in Lincoln. He decided to continue his training by going to medical school at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine. Earning both a medical and a dental degree created a great foundation of skills to treat more advanced oral and facial surgery cases and provide his patients with the highest level of care. Following his educaiton and residency, Dr. Walline also earned his ABOMS board certification. "I was on vacation — my first day in London — and I guess I didn't look because I was hit by a double-decker bus. My forehead was cracked, my nose, my cheekbones, pretty much every bone in my face, except my lower jaw, and that was just three-and -a-half months ago. So I spoke to Dr. Kupferman on the phone on a Saturday night, and I thought, "This guy's cool." Once we could get me in, we went to the hospital where he set my nose and my jaw. I am still healing. I have a lot of dental work ahead of me, but it gets better every day.
