If you love your warranty this episode is not for you. Everyone’s got an opinion about the BYD Shark 6 - but here’s how I actually plan to use it. I’m looking at the BYD Shark 6 as a base for a reasonably capable off-road setup that is a series hybrid Electric Vehicle. Sure - it's AWD and probably not designed for the way we off road out of the box, but I come from a background where modifying vehicles beyond their standard application is just what I do and enjoy, I'm finding there appears to be quite alot of software limits and my visit today to learn more about this confirms that even more. In this video, I share my discoveries and catch up with someone who knows more than I do when it comes to EV systems - especially how the software works under the hood so we can see what kind of upgrades and tweaks might be possible beyond BYD's standard software.
