Consecutive relationships, or consecutive lovers. We had somebody who wrote in, who was talking about they weren't good at having multiple relationships happening at the same time and the word is consecutive. Cathy: Consecutive. Reid: Consecutive relationships vs concurrent relationships. Concurrent. Cathy: Concurrent. Reid: Concurrent. Cathy: At the same time. Reid: Concurrent means having things happening at the same time, so I have concurrent relationships. I have lovers or relationships happening at the same time and then consecutive, or serial, with an S. Cathy: One after the other. Reid: Is I'm having relationships one after the other. Cathy: Yeah. Reid: We just thought we would share that. Cathy: Yeah. Do you prefer consecutive or concurrent relationships? Reid: Hopefully, no matter what relationships you're having, the self expressions are in alignment and congruent with your beliefs. Then if you're super smart and savvy, you're having these either consecutive or concurrent relationships with people for whom the relationships you're having with them, are also congruent so that everything's in alignment and that's basically the idea of dating your species, where you're having relationships that make you happy with people for whom those relationships also make you happy. Whether you're having concurrent relationships or consecutive relationships, there's no value judgment here, we just want you to be happy.
