Montecristo Open Master Decimo Aniversario Cuban Cigars UNBOXING
The Montecristo Open Master Decimo Aniversario is an exclusive product of the Spanish market. The cigar in this video is only sold in Spain. Montecristo was founded in 1935 by Alonso Menendez, a cigar maker who bought the Perticulares Factory and renamed it. The brand's name is a reference to Alexandre Dumas' novel, the Count of Monte Cristo, which was very popular amongst the torcedores in the Montecristo factory. Torcedores is the Spanish word for cigar roller. A few years after the brand's creation, Menendez formed a very successful partnership with Jose "Pepe" Garcia and together purchased the H. Upmann factory, moving the entire Montecristo production there. Montecristo witnessed worldwide recognition during the 70s and the 80s while the brand's sales amount to approximately 50% of Havana's yearly exports to this day.
