The REA - Yobe State Strategic Roundtable on Renewable Energy

REA x Yobe State On the 26th of June 2025, the REA advanced its State-by-State Strategic Roundtable with the sub-nationals, convening the knowledge-driven and impact focused session with the Yobe State Government. Themed "Powering Yobe, Powering Growth: Unlocking Energy Access for Agriculture, Innovation, and Local Investment in Yobe State", the REA - Yobe State Roundtable had in attendance, His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, as well as key commissioners and heads of critical agencies from Yobe State. The REA State-by-State Roundtable has become a central meeting point, optimized to strengthen Public-Private-Partnerships in the renewable energy space, while exploring opportunities and possibilities in the State Electricity Markets, in line with the tenets of the 2023 Electricity Act as passed into Law by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Beyond playing a critical role as an implementing Agency of the Federal Government's renewable and off-grid programmes and initiatives, the REA has become central to facilitating commitments and strategic partnerships in the public and private sectors to accelerate the development of the nation's clean energy sector
