Explore Australia - Charleville - Cosmos Centre - Australian Weather Balloon

In this episode we are in Charleville NSW. We took two trips to the Charleville Cosmos Observatory where we enjoyed the night sky stargazing and viewing the moon only to return the next day to view the sun and see a solar flare. A 178km round trip to visit Australia's smallest town named Cooladdi which was a tad disappointing. Every day at 9.15am, a weather balloon is automatically released from the Charleville Bureau of Meteorology to collect data such as temperature, wind direction and speed. This data is then used to forecast the weather. So we made sure to get there to watch this release. Be sure to stayed tuned for next weeks episode where we visit the WW2 Secret Base.
