A tour of an old Nazi camp and picnic area, located inside Deep Creek Reserve, Narrabeen, on the Sydney Northern Beaches. The site was popular with Germans in the decade before World War 2 broke out. They would hike in with their picnic gear, later constructing a small cabin on the site which could be used for storing their picnic gear. Access to the area is simple, as you can park in the Deep Creek Reserve car park and just walk across the oval and small wooden bridge. The location is only a 2 minute walk from the car park and all flat. While you are in the area, also take the time to stop by the small waterfall shown in the video. There are multiple engravings, all within a small 20 metre stretch. The quality of engravings varies, many can be clearly read, but others such as that of a German Bundesadler, a military eagle insignia, are highly worn down. Important note: The engravings are of historical significance. I create these videos to help people become aware of highly interesting areas worth exploring. Please come and visit, take photos, but leave no trace. Ensure that these are still around for future generations.
