Let's get into it! First up, the Friday cliffhanger has set the stage for one of the most chilling storylines of the year. Owen Kent has returned, and for Stephanie Johnson Kiriakis, confronting the man who once held her captive sixteen years ago and developed a dangerous obsession with her is a terrifying experience. The weekly promo shows Owen gagging Stephanie and tying her back up, and his words are absolutely bone-chilling: "I love you, Stephanie, but you've been unfaithful to me." This man is operating from a completely delusional headspace, and he is not going to let Stephanie go without a fight. And poor Jeremy Horton—the man who showed up to RESCUE Stephanie—is now bound and held captive right alongside her. The one person who came to help is now just as trapped. The double hostage situation is going to be some of the most intense television DOOL has given us in years. While Stephanie and Jeremy are living through their nightmare, Maggie Kiriakis is stepping up to support a devastated Julie Williams, who has been tormented by the accusations against Jeremy and feels like she was wrong to defend him. She was NOT wrong—and the truth is going to come out in the most dramatic way possible. Meanwhile Philip Kiriakis is carrying his own guilt over Stephanie's situation given his history with the Kiriakis-DiMera feud that led to her original abduction, and Gabi will be there to comfort him as the past comes rushing back. On the Holly front, things are getting darker by the episode. Maggie and Sarah are now openly discussing whether Holly is using drugs again—but what they do NOT know is that Sophia Choi switched out Holly's antipsychotic medication and replaced the pills in her skincare supplement bottle. Holly has been unknowingly taking the wrong medication this entire time, and Sophia is already planning to offer a refill. It is genuinely frightening, and the truth cannot come out fast enough. Speaking of Sophia, she is pulling Melinda Trask into her web in a major way this week. After summoning Melinda to Bayview, Sophia produces a small box addressed to Rachel Black and essentially tells Melinda to make the delivery happen—no questions asked. Melinda will absolutely have questions, but Sophia is holding the fake adoption secret over her head like a sword. Melinda may have no choice but to comply, and whatever is in that box is not going to lead anywhere good. And then there is the moment every DiMera fan has been waiting for. EJ, Dr. Rolf, and Gwen are all gathered around that glowing tube in the DiMera lab—and Gwen herself says this news is going to turn so many lives upside down. EJ just smirks and says, "Yes, but in the most wonderful way possible.
