The Pacific Palisades neighbourhood in Los Angeles is facing its worst wildfire in history, with homes and local businesses completely destroyed due to hurricane-strength winds. Evacuated residents return to find only their houses in ashes, and the financial toll is projected to be unprecedented, affecting multi-million dollar properties, with one resident saying it makes them think of "the end of the world".
