Week one of New York Injury Law is officially in the books—and what a wild, inspiring start it’s been. In this video, we take you inside our new office, reflect on the launch of the firm, and share a real look into what it's like to build a law firm from the ground up. The phones are ringing, clients are transferring in, and our team is locked in. In just 10 days, we’ve received overwhelming support from the local legal community, former clients, and new people reaching out with personal injury cases. We are beyond grateful—and we’re just getting started. Not everything went smoothly. Moving into an unpainted office just before the holidays? Lesson learned. But even with the chaos, one thing is clear: we’re lucky to be doing this. We’re lucky to be building something of our own, something that allows us to use our skills to help people who’ve been injured and need a voice in the justice system. This episode gives you a glimpse of our day-to-day: morning court appearances, lunch with a local judge, office meetings, client file transfers, and community events. We also discuss what it means to take risks, fight hard, and work in a system that often feels stacked against injury victims. The legal system isn’t always fair to plaintiffs. That’s why we do what we do. One of the highlights? Sitting down and reflecting on our decision to start this firm together. We talk about courtroom grit, trial experience, and why we're not afraid to take a case all the way if it means getting justice for our clients. We're not in this to push paper. We’re here to fight. “Do not accept what is unacceptable.” That phrase came up during our conversation—and it stuck. It captures our approach. Insurance companies, big corporations, and bad actors will try to wear people down. We don’t let that happen. We believe in pushing forward, staying resilient, and being the lawyers who show up when it counts. You’ll also see a meaningful moment where we visit SUNY Ulster—where I serve as Chair of the Ulster County Community College Foundation. Giving back to the school that helped put me on this path has been one of the most powerful experiences of my legal career. It’s about more than just cases—it’s about building the kind of community we want to live in. This week, we also carved out 30 minutes to create video content. To be honest, I’d rather be litigating than filming, but content is part of the job now. Marketing our services is about more than visibility—it’s about letting people know that we’re here if and when they need us. Because no one expects to be injured. No one plans to need a personal injury lawyer. But when they do, they deserve to know that real, dedicated trial attorneys are ready to help. Launching a firm is intense. It’s hard. It’s also one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever done. This is just the beginning. If you’re a lawyer, entrepreneur, community member—or someone looking for justice—we hope you’ll follow along.
