What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Westin Custom Bed Mat for your truck bed on our 2022 Toyota Tacoma, and it's gonna be a six foot bed is what this one fits. It's custom made and cut out to fit right in there. You don't have to do any modifications, and it's gonna be good to protect your bed from dirt or anything or whatever. Like maybe get a load of gravel, it's easier to clean up that way. Plus it's sound ambience and protects it from heavy things you might throw in there. Let's check it out. The mat's made out of a recycled rubber. It's also 5/16 of an inch thick right here. So you can see it's not just like a floor mat that's gonna be really flimsy. It has some strength to it on the bottom side. There's nibs too that help grip it on the bed. And I'll show you that by just pulling on it. You see I can move it just a little bit, but it has a pretty good grip on there. So you don't have to worry about it like sliding back and forth in the bed while you're driving around. You take a closer look at how it fits here on the contours on the inside of the bed. You see there is kind of a gap. I did one of these on a full size truck yesterday actually. It fit way better. This one seems like you have a little bit of gap on both sides, around here, and around the wheel well. So if you do spill something and it does come off the mat, you might have to worry about that just a little bit. Something else to look at down here by the tailgate is it will cover up your tie down points if you have those on the back of your Tacoma. Now you could remove it if you don't use 'em that often, but it just sits on top of it, so it's not that big a deal. But just wanted to point that out. There are grooves in the mat too. So it's not just a flat mat. There're grooves that can help with, if you spill liquids or something in there, kinda keep them contained within those grooves and channel them away from the mat. So it'll just help you, help 'em not just spread everywhere. So if you we're to spill just a little bit here, it'll probably stay within these grooves and not just transfer all over the mat. If you look at the form of our mat here you can see it's kinda boat up just a little bit. That's just because we just unrolled it. They come wrapped up pretty tight. And if you leave it out in the sun for a little bit, it'll stretch out a little bit more. So the sun will warm up that rubber and let it sit in place. So it won't take long for it to actually form fit the back of your truck. You can even throw some heavy stuff on the top up front, and that'll help flatten it out quicker too. Something else this is gonna help with is if you put heavy buckets in there like this, it's not gonna be as likely to shift around. You see it takes a lot more for me to push it, but it's not skidding back and forth in the bed. So you probably wanna still keep it close to the side wall here of your truck, but you don't have to worry about it rolling all over the place when you're driving down the road. Also, the mat doesn't stick up high enough to mess with your side panel here. So you can still move this out and use it for storage. Now if you plan on adding on a tonneau cover or maybe a toolbox to the front, as long as it's the crossover style toolbox, that means it doesn't go all the way down to the bed, as long as there's that little bit of gap, it's still gonna work just fine with that. So you can add on to the Tacoma in the future and not worry about the mat getting in the way. It doesn't even get in the way of the tailgate. Tailgate, it closes just fine. See it doesn't get in the way there. So, it is really a nice addition to your Tacoma. Overall, I really like having this in the back of the Tacoma. It's gonna help out making cleaning easier, that way if you get this thing all messy, you can pull this out spray it off of the hose, or just spray off of the hose on the inside. Also protects your bed underneath, so it'll always look nice and new as long as this is on top of it protecting it from whatever heavy stuff you just throw in there, or just something you happen to throw in and it lands wrong. This is gonna help out and keep it from getting scratched up and dented. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out, and I hope this helps..
