G'day everyone, Despite this being a wood working channel, I do a good amount of wood working at home. Mostly furniture. And I do need a proper wood vise. The metal vise is not suited for holding wide pieces of wood. Dual screw vises with large gaps in the middle are the way to go, but they are expensive, so naturally I decided to make it myself. This was not supposed to be a long project, nor is it a showcase build. I wanted a practical vise with linked leadscrews through gears, and I wanted to get it done quickly. And somehow it took about 2 months and several redesigns. This is a project video, based on the footage (about 1000 pieces of video) that could be salvaged into a usable video. Some parts are shown in a slightly different order to how they were done, so the continuity is not perfect in some spots. The important thing is that the vise does indeed work. And it works great.
