In a powerful and iconic scene, Indra takes a sword and sits on the throne, symbolizing his transformation into the new leader of the family. The story then shifts to 2002, where Indra is living in Varanasi under the name Shankar Narayana, working as a humble and honest taxi driver. During a college singing competition attended by his niece Nandini, her friend Pallavi (Sonali Bendre)—the daughter of Uttar Pradesh Governor Chenna Kesava Reddy—falls in love with Shankar. She even pretends to be an orphan in order to stay at his house. When her father eventually finds her, he recognizes Shankar’s true identity as Indrasena Reddy. Instead of confronting him, the governor asks Shankar to marry Pallavi, but Shankar refuses because of the responsibilities he carries toward his niece and his past. This intro portion perfectly showcases Chiranjeevi’s screen presence, swag, and comedy timing, along with Mani Sharma’s powerful BGM that elevates every moment.
