Room tour of a Club Room of the Marriott Manchester Piccadilly The hotel is located near Manchester Piccadilly Station, which offers easy access to Manchester Airport as well as long distance train within the United Kingdom and public transportation The hotel is a small and narrow building. The lobby is not that large and offers a number of chairs and tables. It opens into the restaurant. The check-in desks are opposite the entrance. The fitness centre with SPA is in the basement but offers natural light. The fitness centre is of small to medium size (couple of treadmills, bikes and weights) is open 24/7. The wellness area consists of a steam room and Sauna as well as a relaxing area. Locker rooms are available, and a dedicated elevator is available to reach wellness area and gym from the floors. The Club Room is large and would in some regions considered to be a junior suite. The room had a large sized bathroom with bath, shower, sink and toilet. The area next to the sink has enough space to store things. Two large, medium and small towels were provided. Water pressure was okay. Unfortunately, the heated towel rack does not work. Next to the entrance is the small open closet, mini fridge and tea-coffee facilities (Nespresso machine). The Nespresso machine was leaking. The room offers a sofa with a table which doubles as kind of divider of the room. A real desk is missing and the way the table is placed there is no plug at the desk. Power Outlets are at the wall (sockets with USB) and at the bedside table. The bed comes with reading lamps and two bedside tables. The design of the room uses a light and dark colour scheme. The large windows covering the whole room offer much light making the room very bright. The room was clean and showed a little bit of wear. The bed was comfortable. Air condition was okay but could not really cool the room down. A club lounge is located on the first floor. The M lounge also has natural light and has a modern and contemporary design and is divided in different parts. On one side is the buffet area. The middle part offers chairs and tables of different size. On the other side is a TV with sofa and smaller tables, more a relaxing area. It is open 24/7. Soft drinks and tea and coffee are available throughout the day. In the evening between 17:30 and 21:00 is happy hour. In addition to wine and beer there is now also a small number of spirits available. The food options are two hot dishes (spring rolls, chicken wings, mini quiches) and rotated. As cold dishes salad, vegetables, cheese and salami are available. Also on offer is humus and bread. An agent is available in the lounge. Service was self service, which was not a problem. There is a small menu with food options for purchase at a reduced rate compared to the restaurant. Breakfast is served in the lounge. Scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon are available, cereals, salami, cheese and muesli and yoghurt. Bread (Bagels and toast) and pastries. Several egg dishes could be ordered bud had to be paid for. Service was good, though late check out was not offered pro-active. As I requested it, the agent checked the room and offered 12:00 instead of 11:00. I requested the Platinum 16:00 check-out which was granted. Keys needed to be reprogrammed. Points posted but without the welcome points which had to be requested. September 2025
