His research interests centre on relations between youth, ethnicity, class and gender; migration, multiculturalism and intercultural conviviality; material culture, the home and subjectivity; cultural pedagogies and Bourdieusian theory; and multicultural education. He has published 10 books, including: Fields, Capitals, Habitus (2021), Convivialities (2018) and Cultural Pedagogies and Human Conduct (2015). Oggetti Socievoli is a project that investigates home objects that have been discovered, re-discovered and re-interpreted during social isolation due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
