Murder – Welcome* FIR No 698/23 dt. 19.8.23 U/s 302/307/392/397/34 IPC PS. Welcome Three PCR calls of stabbing were received in PS Welcome during the night. First call was received at 11:33 pm on 18.08.23 and the last call was received at 01:02 am on 19.08.23. The murder call was received at 12:21 am on 19.08.23. 1. First incident – Sher Mohd age 25 years r/o Janta Mazdoor Colony, Welcome had been stabbed in the abdomen. He managed to save himself by hiding inside a house. 2. Second incident - Gufran age 32 years R/o H No F 569 Janta Mazdoor Colony was stabbed in the back. He succumbed to his injuries. His mobile phone was robbed. He was a tailor and worked in a Jeans Factory in Gandhi Nagar. 3. Third incident - Sharik age 22 years R/o Janta Mazdoor Colony was stabbed on his neck. He ran away and managed to save himself. It was found that three boys went on a stabbing spree and injured at least three persons, one of whom succumbed to his injuries. Two of the three boys have been apprehended. 1. Kapil Chaudhary S/o Wakeel Ahmed R/o E 75 Janta Colony Age 25 years - He has 2 criminal involvements and was arrested in 2021 for attempt to murder and then again in 2022 for another stabbing incident. Robbed mobile phone and a blood stained knife has been recovered from him. He has come out of jail about 3 months ago. 2. Sohail S/o Afaq R/o D 409 Janta Colony Age 22 Years – He does not have a past criminal involvement. A blood stained knife has been recovered from him. Reason for violence Kapil, Sohail and Sameer had been drinking. They decided to rob some people. They were carrying huge knives, which they had bought recently from Ballimaran area. They stabbed three persons but managed to rob only one of them, who eventually died due to his injuries. All three boys are known ruffians of the area and two of them have past criminal record. Efforts are being made to trace their third associate, who has been identified as Sameer @ Ula s/o Naseem r/o HNo. K-108, Janta Mazdoor Colony, Welcome. He is absconding. He has a past criminal involvement and was arrested for robbery and Arms Act in 2022. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
