Hi everyone! In today's video I'm making a Healthy Tofu Deli Meat! It's easy to make and will last for days in the refrigerator. I love using this deli meat on sandwiches and wraps. This recipe is great for traveling too! I'm also sharing a Mini Grocery Haul with you all too. I added the prices too so you can see what everything costs where I live. The amounts are in Canadian dollars. Thanks for watching! Health, Joy & Positive Vibes, Debbie ~VeganMommyDee~ Healthy Tofu Deli Meat Ingredients: 1 block of Firm Tofu, sliced thinly Tamari sauce, 5-6 Tbsp. Paprika, 1 Tbsp. Garlic powder, 1 Tbsp. Onion powder, 1 tsp. Pure Maple Syrup, 2-3 Tbsp. Black Pepper, sprinkle Method: 1. Slice up one block of firm tofu thinly. I wouldn’t make them too super thin because they will be hard to flip in the oven. 2. In a baking dish or a container, you can add in the tamari, maple syrup, paprika, and cracked black pepper. 3. Add the tofu to the container or baking dish and make sure that the sauce gets on all of the pieces. I like to flip them after an hour just to make sure that they are nicely coated. The longer it marinates, the better tasting your tofu deli meat will be. 4. Once your tofu has been marinating for a couple hours, you can go ahead and transfer each piece to a parchment lined baking sheet. 5. Bake at 425F and flip them halfway. I bake mine for about 10 minutes. It depends on how crisp you want your deli meat. I still want some flexibility in my deli meat so it’s more like the real thing and not hard and overcooked. Note: You can turn this into tofu, bacon easily, and make it crispy and crunchy by adding the marinated slices to an air fryer and air frying them. Enjoy!💚
