A doomer is someone who believes in doomerism, a philosophy and mindset that believes global problems—including but not limited to ecological exhaustion, such as overpopulation, peak oil, climate change, and pollution—will inevitably cause the collapse of civilization, significant losses in human population, and potentially lead to eventual human extinction.The ideology is defined in opposition to more optimistic outlooks on life. Doomers believe that government corruption, civilian apathy, and/or structural oppression are unfixable. Bloomer is a character spread on 4chan which represents a person with a highly optimistic outlook on life and a go-getter attitude, usually in their late 20s. The character is often used in contrast to Doomer as an example of a person who moved past an unhealthy lifestyle and depressed state by learning to love and accept themselves and finding motivation. Gloomer refers to several Wojak characters spread on 4chan describing young adults between ages 22 and 27 who lead an antisocial and uninspired life that may be a consequence of a blackpill OD, a rich inner world, eccentric tastes, and chronic anhedonia that alienate the Gloomer from the community. Although these aren't exclusive conditions for being a Gloomer, they provide a general basis for it. Oomer Wojaks or Oomers refer to a subset of Wojak characters that are meant to represent different types of human personalities and are used either to mock specific groups of people or to associate with them.
