Uganda | Into the Wild: 8 Days with Gorillas, Chimps & the Big Five

We finally made a long-dreamed-of adventure come true: taking my parents on safari in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Together with my wife, we explored an incredible sweep of landscapes and wildlife, from tracking the Big Five on classic game drives to unforgettable chimpanzee and mountain gorilla treks deep in the forests. Our journey took us through Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We cruised the River Nile and the Kazinga Channel, drifting past elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and endless birdlife. Some wildlife didn’t even wait for the game drives, with elephants and hippos wandering right into our lodge grounds. From roaring waterfalls to misty jungles and quiet moments shared as a family, this trip was packed with awe, laughter, and memories we’ll carry forever. Uganda welcomed us generously, wildly, and beautifully, and we had an absolutely amazing time.
