Fake Embassy For A Non-Existent Country Busted By Police In Ghaziabad | India Today

The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force has uncovered a fraudulent embassy operating from a rented bungalow in Ghaziabad. The alleged mastermind, Harsh Vardhan Jain, was arrested for posing as an ambassador for a non-existent country called 'West Arctica' and other micro-nations like Siborga, Pulovia, and Ludonia. To maintain his cover, the accused used luxury cars with fake diplomatic number plates and circulated morphed photographs of himself with global leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. He is also accused of running a Hawala network through shell companies and cheating people with false promises of overseas jobs. During the raid, police seized multiple vehicles, stamps of various purported countries, and ₹44 lakh in cash, which included foreign currency.
