If you are considering purchase a lot and having a home built just for you, then you should consider looking into purchasing a lot in a subdivision that has nothing built yet. Most times builders will give you a really low price in order to start the process of building on the subdivision. Another option to consider is to hire a real estate agent to help you purchase your new home; some Realtors work closely with local builders and will have a good idea on the best deals in the area. The Realtor will also be better to use as a communication tool between you and the builder simply because builders acquire most of their business from Realtors, meaning they are more open to working with a Realtor than a private party buyer. A few things to keep in mind as you are searching for your new home, when you purchase your home you want to consider the location, floor plan, elevation, lot orientation, and the builder’s reputation.
