Why settle for a massive tower with bulky PSUs when you can engineer portable lightweight modular build with your standard ATX board? In this video, I take a full-sized Gigabyte AX370 Gaming K3 motherboard and "shrink-wrap" it into a custom-fabricated 12-Liter SFF chassis built entirely from scratch. This isn't just a case swap—it’s a complete rethink of PC architecture. The Engineering Challenge: To make it slim, lightweight, modular with small form factor profile, I make the power supply external. I’ll show you how I configured the external 19V power delivery system using a Dell Power Brick and an RGEEK 200W DC-ATX converter to feed the 20-pin logic and 4-pin 12V Aux rails. The Modular Ecosystem: This is the "Logic Pod"—the brain of a three-part modular ecosystem (Logic, Graphics, and Storage). Build Highlights: The Electronics: The PC runs on DC 19-24V supply which can be provided with any external adapter. Full teardown of the 19V external PSU configuration and internal wiring is shown in the video. The Chassis: A "Hybrid" metal design with a steel L-bracket, — usually used as open casing (cut-to-size) that provies the base plate for motherboard and the IO panel, rest of the walls and the structure is built from aluminium sheet metal, aluminium profiles and a steel metal mesh which also provides an easy access hinge based door. It is a full ATX board with a standard Ryzen processor running with a dell brick and in a small form factor casing that is lightweight and highly portable.
