Tram Wrap 2025 - The Full Year of Amsterdam 750 | GVB Amsterdam

I filmed the commemorative tram wrap for the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam's founding, from its start in late October 2024 until early October 2025. The tram's car number seems to be 2025, which is likely in commemoration of the year 2025. I was confused when the design suddenly changed in September 2025. Furthermore, the wrapping began to peel off in October, making further filming impossible. Perhaps due to this, or perhaps because I could not find it, I was unable to find this tram wrap on the actual anniversary day, October 27, 2025. I attempted to capture the Amsterdam 750th anniversary event illumination and the Amsterdam 750 tram wrap simultaneously, but unfortunately, I failed. Therefore, I included a "successful shot" in the small window on the bottom right, showing a Combino passing in front of the eight blue light pillars. This illumination (according to the website) symbolizes hope, warmth, and strength, and the eight pillars of light gathered in the sky represent the seven districts and the municipality of Weesp. Finally, I added a cut of the tram wrap ferry, which I filmed from a distance during the 10th Sail Amsterdam event held at the end of August. Sail Amsterdam began for the 700th anniversary of the city's founding (1975) as "Sail Amsterdam 700." This largest maritime event in the world is held every five years, and this year, the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam's founding (2025), marked the 10th edition and 50th anniversary of the event. 2025 was a year of various milestones, including the 50th anniversary of the Amsterdam Electric Tram Museum Line and the 125th anniversary of the Amsterdam Municipal Transport Company (GVB). This special year of 2025 is drawing to a close. The next major city anniversary will be the 800th, 50 years from now (2075). I will no longer be in this world then, but I hope this video will allow people to look back and remember that such a tram wrap, bus wrap, and ferry wrap were running during the 750th anniversary of the city's founding.
