Another chaotic week on the farm. I start with an update following last week's video on the dog attack and the missing lambs that were never found — and still no reimbursement. I explore the idea of flock guardian animals like alpacas, llamas, donkeys and dogs, and why they won’t work in my system. Then it's onto a Landcruiser oil change that went badly wrong when I made a rookie schoolboy mistake and forgot to put the bung back in. The shed floor paid the price. Later in the week, I’m welding up a new lambing shed with the help of Cian and high-risk pilot Tom. On Sunday, my little boy Noah joins me for a callout to catch two lame sheep — and we have a bit of fun in the process. I reflect on the time of year, the losses that come before lambing, and finish up with loading the last ram lambs for the factory.
